TOP 5 PAGES YOUR WEBSITE NEEDS

So you have a website and you're wondering, “Did I design this correctly?”

I get it, designing a website isn't the easiest thing to do and if you're doing it on your own you want to make sure you have all the elements that are going to make sure that your visitors land on your website and convert into paying clients.

That is why I am sharing with you my top 5 recommended pages you need to convert those website visitors into paying clients.

01. Home Page

Okay, so the first most obvious and important page you need for your website is the homepage. This is the first page your visitors land on. Think of this page as your storefront. This page is the first thing they see and so you want to make sure you leave a lasting impression on your visitor and convince them to stay a little longer. Here are a few tips to help you out.

  • Make sure the first thing they see is a headline letting them know who you are and what you do. Ex. “Helping you grow your business and thrive using Social Media Marketing” See how that draws you in.

  • Next, you want to make sure you have a CTA, meaning a button directing them where you want them to go next. Ex. “Learn More”

  • Use imagery, a beautiful website will be appealing to the eye, so make sure your images are also appealing. I know when I visit a website and it's all over the place I want to leave right away.

02. About Page

The second page you need is the about page. You want to make sure you let your visitor know who you are and how you will be able to help them. So here is where you want to shine! Here you will build trust and connection with your visitor. Think about it, when you purchase something online, you are not going to want to purchase from just anyone. You want to know who they are, well I know I do. I am not going to give up my money to just anyone, so I always visit the about page to get to know them a bit better. So make sure the content on your about page speaks to your clients.

03. Service or Products Page

The next page is the service or product page depending on what you offer. Now that your visitors know what you do and who you are, you have to break down what your offer. You want to provide as much detail about your offers and how you will be able to help them solve their problems. So make sure you break it down in an easy way for the visitor to understand, but not be too overwhelming. This page allows you to display all you can do for your visitor, what if they were interested in one service, but you sold them on a bundle or another product. Be strategic when writing the content on this page.

04. Contact & Checkout Page

Now that you have sold your visitor to your services, they are going to want to contact you. For this, you want to make sure you have a designated page where they can email you or even purchase. So you will need a contact page for that. On this page, I would recommend having a form for your visitor to fill out and submit to you, or even better a place where they can directly schedule a consultation with you or purchase from you. Depending on what you offer this will look different, but one thing is for sure, you want to make this process as easy as possible for them.

05. Portfolio Page

The last page I want to recommend for you to have is a portfolio page. Especially if you are a service provider, you want to use this page to showcase your work. Show off what you can do, this will help build even more trust. They not only will be able to see your work but will also trust that you can do the same for them. We want to attract them, keep them saying yes, and book or purchase from you.
