5 Reasons Why You Need A Website for Your Business

Do you really need a website?

As a website designer, my first response is, “yes!” Nowadays everyone is online searching for services and products, but besides that, there are many other reasons why you should have a website.

That is why I will be sharing 5 of the reasons why your business needs a professional website.

01. It is your virtual store front

To start, it will be your virtual storefront, think of it as a little place of property that you own online. You will be able to market your store online and have a space where potential clients can visit 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

02. It will set you apart from your competition

Having a website increases your value because it shows you off as an established business owner setting you apart. This is also an opportunity for you to provide a great first impression to potential clients. Having a beautifully appealing website that is strategically designed to get your clients to flow through it will set you apart.

03. It will allow your potential clients to learn more about you and you can help them

Just having social media will not cut it if you want to grow your business. Having a website allows your potential clients to learn more about you, your values, and your services, and get questions answered without needing to contact you directly. Think of it as your 24-hour advertisement. A potential client will be able to view your website around the clock, you could be making sales or booking clients while you sleep.

04. It will increase brand awareness and credibility

Having a strategic and beautifully designed website using your branding, will allow your potential clients to get a vibe for your business. Branding via social media can only go so far, but on your website, you are able to show it off and share your story, mission, and brand values with your clients. You are also establishing your credibility. This is done using client testimonials for product and service-based business or project clients for any creatives who have portfolios.

05. It increases exposure which turns into growth

When your website is SEO optimized, this can help expand the reach to those who search for any products or services you offer. The exposure allows people to find you more easily. If you are a business owner who offers services locally and is able to and wants to expand your reach, a website is a great tool to help. The possibility to reach more people than just your local area turns into growth.

Final Thoughts

Now that you see how important it is for you to have a website, the question lies in where do I start designing my website?  You have 2 options, a DIY website using a website builder that is “user’ friendly or hire a website designer.  Now if you are on a budget and feel confident

In DIY’ing your website, there are plenty of templates that will allow you to get started, however, keep in mind that for a website to work well and do all the things stated about it, it must be strategically designed. So, I recommend doing your research before taking on the project.  Or if you are ready to invest and do not want to deal with the headache of DIY’ing your website, you can hire a designer.  Lucky for you I am a website designer who builds strategic websites and I am here to help!
